The minister received the rector of Pantheon-Assas University

On October 16, 2023, a meeting was held between the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov and the rector of the University of Panthéon-Assas Stéphane Bracone.

At the beginning of the meeting, I. Abdurakhmanov introduced the guest to reforms, changes and further plans in the field of development of higher education, science and innovation. He also emphasized the development of bilateral relations and the establishment of good relations between universities of the two countries.

In addition, the minister said that, given the task of training 5 thousand higher education teachers in foreign countries, as well as organizing the training of 200 young people for a PhD degree in leading foreign universities, cooperation with the university in this direction is possible.

The rector of the Pantheon-Assas University, in turn, spoke about holding negotiations with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Paris, as well as establishing relations with the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to establish cooperation in 3 areas:
1. Organization of educational programs at the PhD level for youth of Uzbekistan;
2. Training of university teachers in Uzbekistan at the Pantheon-Assas University on the principle of “train for trainers”;
3. Studying the issue of creating a branch of the University in the future.

The Minister gave appropriate instructions to develop an action plan reflecting these agreements and the implementation of assigned tasks.
