A press conference was held dedicated to the international week of innovative ideas

October 13 this year A press conference dedicated to the Week of Innovative Ideas “InnoWeek-2023” was held at AIMC. It was attended by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Shakhlo Turdikulova and Director of the Agency for Innovative Development Olimjon Tuychiev. Journalists and media representatives also took part in the event.

On October 16-20, 2023, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation is holding the Week of Innovative Ideas “InnoWeek-2023” under the slogan “Creative education and innovation - the basis for the development of a new Uzbekistan.”

The main goal of the Week is the exchange of views among foreign and domestic experts and analysts on reforms in the field of higher education, science and innovative development in New Uzbekistan, their essence, achievements and immediate immediate tasks, priorities in the field of completely new technologies.

This year, the week, organized under the slogan “Creative education and innovation - the basis for the development of New Uzbekistan”, will be held in the areas of “Youth”, “Startups”, “Science and Commercialization” and “Creative Education”. It is noteworthy that the Week takes place not only in Tashkent, but also in all regions of our republic.

Over the course of the week, more than 250 experts in higher education, science and innovation from more than 20 countries will take part in 50 events. About 90 innovative enterprises from countries such as South Korea, Germany, Malaysia, Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran were involved.

The exhibition of innovative products “InnoWeek-2023” will be held at the Alpomish Ice Palace on the territory of Vuzgorodok during the Week. About 150 organizations representing more than 200 innovative products will take part in the exhibition at the stands “Science and Commercialization of Projects”, “Youth Academy”, “Start-up Projects”, “Creative Education” and “Foreign Countries”. In addition, an exhibition will be organized in the Ministry’s showroom as part of the Autumn Commercialization Forum. It is expected to involve commercialization projects and startups aimed at solving industry problems.

On October 16, an Uzbek-Iranian forum of businessmen will be held at the INNO technology park, and a meeting of the subcommittee on the development of cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan in the field of innovation and technology will be held in the Ministry building.

On October 17, the official opening ceremony of the Week is expected to include the participation of Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Sadi Jafarov, Deputy Governor of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Province of South Korea Lee Dal Hee, Chairman of the State Agency for the Provision of Services to Citizens and Social Innovation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev, Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Gurbangul Atayeva, director of the State Innovation Center of the United Arab Emirates named after Mohammed Bin Rashid Abir Tahlak.

On the first day of the Week of Innovative Ideas “InnoWeek.Uz-2023” the first congress of young scientists from the CIS countries will be held under the slogan “Youth for Innovation” on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, put forward in his speech at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS countries in Astana on October 14, 2022 , as well as the “International Congress of Science and Innovation of Youth of the Turkic World” on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, put forward at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States on November 11, 2022 with the aim of expanding ties in the field of mutual innovation.

The first congress of young scientists of the CIS countries under the slogan “Youth for Innovation” was attended by young employees under 35 years of age in the field of youth innovation, working in ministries responsible for innovation, as well as young scientists, entrepreneurs and researchers from member states - Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Tajikistan. During the congress, information will be exchanged on activities aimed at supporting youth in scientific and innovative activities in each country, as well as activities that will be carried out in cooperation within the CIS countries in this direction.

The International Congress of Science and Innovation of Youth of the Turkic World will be attended by foreign guests consisting of the heads of the ministries of youth, education and science, young startups and young people responsible for youth innovation from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, member countries of the Organization of Turkic States.

Within the framework of the International Congress of Science and Innovation of Youth of the Turkic World, events such as a presentation of startups aimed at solving the problems of the next 10 years, informal meetings with youth, a round table of young leaders, and a meeting of the Youth Academy will be held.

On October 18 - the second “Startup Day” of the week, events such as “Startup Pitch”, “Day of Uzbek-Korean Startups” will be held with the participation of experts from Germany and South Korea. In order to implement startup projects being implemented in the country in the fields and further improve the startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan, a “Demo Day” will be held among the most successful startups.
