International Conference of Young Scientists "Science and Innovation"

On October 20 this year, as part of the InnoWeek International Week of Innovative Ideas, the International Conference of Young Scientists "Science and Innovation" was held at the Center for Advanced Technologies. The conference was attended by scientists from Uzbekistan, countries of near and far abroad.
During the conference, there was an exchange of scientific and practical experience, ideas and achievements in the field of biology, physics, chemistry, geology, IT technologies, as well as a discussion of the relationship between scientific achievements and innovation processes.
At the plenary session, leading experts from Uzbekistan, the USA, China, Great Britain and Russia discussed topical problems of biology, chemistry, physics, geophysics, and artificial intelligence. The sections present reports of both leading experts and young scientists.
The conference was held in a hybrid format, the working languages of the conference are Uzbek, Russian, English.
In the plenary session, leading experts in all areas of the conference "Science and Innovations" made presentations. The biological direction is represented by 6 reports on the latest scientific directions. The meeting began with a report by Professor Olga Natanovna Vagin of the University of California, Los Angeles, who spoke about the mechanisms of regulation of protein stability in human and animal cells. Andrey Yuryevich Abramov, Professor of University College London, made a presentation on the regulation of energy metabolism and the mechanisms of protection of brain cells during the development of neurodegenerative diseases. Director of the Institute of Reproductive Genetics, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Trofimov Dmitry Yurievich shared his experience in neonatal screening of clinically significant genetic mutations in newborns, and Professor of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogova Lagunin Alexey Alexandrovich, in continuation of this topic, spoke about the possibilities of predicting monogenic hereditary diseases in newborns during neonatal screening. Alexander Kirpiy, a specialist in the clinical direction of Illumina, shared information about the latest technical solutions for next-generation whole genome sequencing. Svetlana Andreevna Avdeychik, geneticist, head of the Department of Genetics at the Israel Medical Center, shared her opinion on the prospects for diagnosing genetic pathologies from the point of view of a practicing geneticist. The biological part of the plenary session ended with a report by Professor Inga Prokopenko of the University of Surrey from the UK on the use of metabolomic databases in the study of multifactorial human diseases.
In the block of plenary reports in the direction of information technology ANSO Scholar of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dr. Ammar Younas discussed the ethical aspects of the use of artificial intelligence in modern Eurasian society, and the head of the direction for attracting foreign start-ups of the Skolkovo Innovation Center (Russia) Shunina Daria Konstantinovna made a presentation on the impact of the crisis on scientific and technical development of society.
The direction of geology and geosciences is presented by the report of Professor Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich, Dr. Jörg Fassbinder on the methods and possibilities of geophysics in archeology on the example of studies of prehistoric settlements in various countries, as well as the report of Associate Professor of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin, candidate of technical sciences Sergeev Konstantin Sergeevich about the experience of using the methods of exploration geophysics in solving various problems of archeology.
