The opening ceremony of the International Week of Innovative Ideas "InnoWeek.uz-2022" was held

The opening ceremony of the International Week of Innovative Ideas "InnoWeek.uz-2022" took place in Tashkent today, on October 18. Presidential Advisor on Youth, Science, Education, Health, Culture and Sports Odil Abdurakhmanov, Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Development of the Aral Sea Region and Ecology Bory Alikhanov, Minister of Innovative Development Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, specialists from Uzbekistan, foreign guests, media were all participating during solemn ceremony.

Jamshid Khodjaev, the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade, spoke at the event. He said that "green" innovations will definitely help us find solutions to our problems.

"Uzbekistan is one of the leaders in implementing such practices. And we continue to work on improving the results in this direction." The President noted that innovation is the future. We must build it based on innovative ideas. Our transition to innovative development and a digital economy is inevitable. In addition, our country has adopted a document on the innovative development of Uzbekistan and the transition to a digital economy," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov, who is in charge of innovative development, said that the theme of the week, "Green Innovations for Sustainable Development," wasn't chosen at random.

"Today, because of the anthropogenic factor, the damage that people do to the environment is getting worse and worse," the minister said. "Obviously, stopping these processes and reducing their effects is one of the most important things the world needs to do right now."

After the opening, an exhibition started, within the framework of which innovative technologies, alternative and energy-saving products, and "green" innovations by specialists from Uzbekistan and other countries were presented.

The events of "InnoWeek.uz-2022" will continue during the week.
