A press conference was held dedicated to the International Week of Innovative Ideas "InnoWeek.Uz-2022".

On October 17 this year, the Agency of Information and Mass Communications, under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a press conference dedicated to the International Week of Innovative Ideas, “InnoWeek.Uz”, which is held annually by the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The press conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Innovative Development Shahlo Turdikulova, General Manager of the National Innovation Office Olimjon Tuychiev, and Head of the Mininnovations Press Service Nazokat Abdukunduzova.

Representatives, experts, and scientists from more than 50 foreign countries, domestic scientific and innovation centers, investment funds, technology agencies, technology parks, and business incubators participate in "InnoWeek.uz-2022".

- Today, the damage caused by humanity to the environment is increasing every day, - said Sh. Turdikulova. - Naturally, preventing these processes and reducing their impact is one of the world community's most urgent tasks. Therefore, this year the theme of the InnoWeek.Uz-2022 is “Green innovations for sustainable development.”

- Within the framework of the InnoWeek.Uz-2022, which will last until October 21, more than 30 events will be held, - O. Tuychiev emphasized. - Attention will be paid to the activities of each area where innovations have penetrated. In particular, on October 17, the republican stage of the technological development marathon "TechnoWays" began its work. The winners of the marathon will be awarded within the week.

Scientific developments of scientists of our republic, innovative products, and start-up projects are presented at the exhibition of innovative developments organized as part of the Week. The results of scientific projects funded by the Ministry of Innovative Development will be presented at the autumn stage of the Forum for the Commercialization of Scientific Developments.

The official opening ceremony of the International Innovation Week will take place on 18 October. On the same day, the “First International Forum on Scientific and Innovation Activities of Universities” will begin its work, within which the scientific and innovative activities of foreign and national higher educational institutions will be discussed and analyzed. There will also be a panel discussion on "Green Innovation for Sustainable Development", a conference on "Green Innovation to Reduce the Negative Impacts of Climate Change" and B2B meetings.

As part of the week on October 19, will be held a regional seminar, "Technical Cooperation Mechanisms for Green Innovation" of the Asia-Pacific Center for Technology Transfer (APCTT). Will be discussed global issues that require the introduction of green innovations and new technologies to reduce the risk of environmental and climate change and increase economic efficiency.

On October 20, will be held the International Scientific Forum of Science and Innovations and the International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists "Science and Innovations". On the same day,there will be an awards ceremony for the winners of the “Leader of Innovative Ideas” badge and the World Bank grant program. There will also be an expert conference for IT specialists on the topic "Organization of Turkic states specialization in smart cities" and an international conference on "Towards energy efficiency and carbon-free energy of the future." In addition, startup project teams will discuss solutions to environmental problems and opportunities to attract investment.

On the last day of the week, a competition will be organized in the final stage of the International Robotics Challenge, and a presentation of entire projects implemented within the framework of state programs for scientific activities. Also, on October 21, there will be a seminar on the topic "Prospects for the development of the copper industry in Uzbekistan".
