Innovation for the circular economy: connecting startups and corporations

The seminar was opened by the General Director of the National Office of Innovation and Technology Transfer, Farkhod Jumaev, who noted that today special attention is paid to projects aimed at creating environmentally friendly infrastructure and introducing circular economy practices at industrial enterprises and projects in foreign countries.

During the seminar, discussions were held on analyzing trends in the circular economy in Europe and neighboring countries, as well as identifying problems that arise in the cooperation of government and non-governmental organizations of Uzbekistan, companies and startups within the framework of the circular economy and the formation of a common strategy.

During the event, foreign and domestic experts discussed the principles of the circular economy, its advantages, joint programs and initiatives of large companies, state-owned enterprises and business clusters of Uzbekistan with universities and startups.

The event was organized within the framework of the SPECA Network of Business Incubators and Accelerators for Sustainable Development.
